Hearing Loss Simulator
Experience a unique immersive journey with our interactive simulator. This tool was designed to help you better understand how different degrees of hearing loss transform the perception of sounds, whether in the quiet of an office or during a lively dinner with friends.
By comparing these sound environments, you can identify the subtle signs of hearing loss and see how appropriate solutions can improve your comfort and quality of life on a daily basis.

Adjust the degree of hearing loss
No hearing loss
The sound range is complete and voices are perfectly clear. Conversations with your loved ones are smooth and natural, requiring no effort to catch every nuance of the message.
Mild hearing loss (around 35 dB)
High-frequency sounds, such as consonants like “s,” “f,” or “t,” begin to fade. You understand most of the conversation, but certain word endings may sound less clear or slightly blurred.
Moderate hearing loss (around 50 dB HL)
The speaker’s voice lacks volume and clarity, even in a quiet environment. You need to make a conscious effort to follow the conversation and avoid missing important information.
Severe hearing loss (around 70 dB HL)
Speech sounds like a distant, very muffled murmur. Without hearing aids, understanding is fragmented, making everyday conversations difficult and sometimes frustrating, even in the absence of background noise.
Profound hearing loss (90 to 120 dB or more)
Only very loud sounds remain perceptible. Verbal communication becomes almost impossible without the support of lip reading or appropriate amplification technology.
