TASKS

THE FIRST 3 MONTHS AS AN INTERNSHIP YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH THE FOLLOWING TASKS UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A SPECIALIZED PROFESSIONAL

  • Examine adult patients to determine the degree of hearing loss

  • Recommend appropriate hearing aids

  • Take earmold impressions and perform follow-up examinations and fittings

  • Supervise technical and support staff

  • Assist health care professionals

  • Order and purchase equipment

Education

  • Equivalent to a professional DEC in Hearing Aid Practitioner 

  • In progress of obtaining, Licensure by a provincial or territorial regulatory body for hearing aid practitioners

  • Bilingual (French and English)

  • Test d’audition et bilan auditif complet.

  • Diagnostic du système auditif et vestibulaire (audiogramme).

  • Recommandation d’un traitement adéquat.

  • Accompagnement pendant l’appropriation des appareils auditifs.

  • Réaménagement du milieu de vie et de celui de travail.
